Anzac War

25th of April 1915, it was the day that some Aussies and Kiwis came together to fight in the war with British and Turkish troops. They arrived in Gallipoli by boat. The people that dropped off the ANZACs couldn’t drop them off right in the front where the sand was.  So they had to jump into deep water and they could barely stand. The ANZACs had to walk through the water up to their base. New Zealand and Australia fought against the German and Turkish. They fought and fought until no one won. Both sides took their separate ways. 50,000 went to fight for our country and sadly 11,479 lost their lives while fighting. The people who survived came back and celebrated with their families, that is why we celebrate Anzac day.
